Rose Ruefenacht's Patriarchal Blessing

A blessing given by William G. Gibbs, Patriarch on the head of Rose Annetta Ruefenacht daughter of Walter Ruefenacht. Born at Salt Lake City, Utah April 14, 1912.
Sister Ruefenacht, I lay my hands upon your head and give unto you a blessing that it may prove a guide to your footsteps in life. You have been born of goodly parents who have taught you the principles of the gospel and the Lord is pleased with your integrity. Therefore, I say unto you to be of good cheer and put your faith and trust in our Heavenly Father and he will enlighten your mind and quicken your intellectual activity so that when you read and ponder over the principles of the gospel you'll be able to understand and comprehend them. Also, the designs and purposes of our Heavenly Father in permitting you to come forth in the day and age when the gospel has been restored to the earth in its fullness. And you will be able to comprehend and understand your mission here in the world as it was arranged by you before you left your eternal home and in as much as you keep the commandments of God you will be able to accomplish this mission and to secure unto yourself a salvation in the kingdom of God for you're of the seed of Ephraim and entitled to all the blessings of that lineage and the righteous desire of your heart will be granted unto you. You shall have power and strength to overcome the evil temptations that may come in your pathway and you will become a pillar of strength among your sex and your tongue shall be loosed so that you will be able to declare the truths of the gospel in their plainness to the understanding of those that you will be called upon to preside over for it will be your privilege to become a wise counselor in the midst of your sisters and a peacemaker so look to the future with pleasure. Evils and temptations may beset your pathway but through the prayer of faith you shall overcome them and you will take joy and satisfaction in your work. And if you desire it with all your heart, you will have the privilege of declaring the word of the Lord to those who lay in darkness in many lands. And as time rolls on you will choose for yourself a companion in life whom you will look up to and honor. Children shall come to bless your companionship and you will have the privilege of seeing them grow up around you and they will be a joy and comfort unto you in your declining years. And inasmuch as you will study the laws of health you shall be blessed and have the privilege to live upon the earth as long as life is desirable unto you. It will also be your privilege to work in the house of the Lord for those who have passed away and become a savior in the midst of mankind.
You shall be blessed with means to carry on this work. This blessing I seal upon your head and seal you up against the power of the destroyer until you have finished your life's mission here upon the earth.
I seal you unto eternal life to come forth in the morning of the first resurrection and I do it by authority of the priesthood and in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ Amen.
