Obituary: Raymond T. Owen

Raymond Ted Owen died in the loving arms of his wife and sons, Brett and Drew,
May 9, 2002 at the University of Utah Hospital.

He was born June 13, 1951 in SLC to Alfred Ted and Marian Owen. Ray and his wife
Joan spent more than 22 wonderful years together. He was a very loving father to
his sons, Brett and Drew. They were the joy of his life. He worked for Arnold
Machinery as a Ditch Witch salesman most of his career. He was a very
accomplished salesman and made many lasting friendships because he was caring
towards everyone.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joan; sons, Brett, Drew; mother, Mari-an Owen
Dunnigan, CA; sisters, Glen-na Hansen, Kaysville, Kathee Kershaw, Sacramento,
CA; brother, Terry, Dun-nigan, CA; very special niece and hus-band, Holly and
John Wisniewski; three nephews; and one niece. Preceded in death by his father,
Alfred Owen.

We would like to thank the UofU MICU for their care during Ray's last days. A
very special thank you to Al Richer and the employees of Arnold Machinery for
their love, support, and concern.

Also a special thank you to Dr. Bill Hutson, Dr Kathy Peterson, Jennifer
Nielson, and the liver transplant team at LDS Hospital for all their love and
support in helping Ray during difficult times.

Services will be Wed. May 15, 2002, 2 p.m., Holladay Cottonwood Mortuary, 4670
S. Highland Dr. Family and friends may call Tues. 6-8 p.m., Cottonwood-Holladay
Mortuary and 12:30-1:45 p.m. prior to service. Interment, Holladay Memorial Park
4900 Memory lane.

In honor of Ray please save other lives by becoming an organ donor.
